Goals
editDid you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
Yes. The goals of the campaign was met and even exceeded by a great margin as participants were more than willing to contribute. I was really please with the way things turned out during the campaign.
Outcome
editPlease report on your original project targets. Please be sure to review and provide metrics required for Rapid Grants.
Target outcome | Achieved outcome | Explanation |
Number of events 3 | 3 | Two physical events and 1 virtual |
Number of participants= 40 | 35 | In terms of the number of participants we fell short of the target. |
Number of new editors= 10 | 13 | This target was achieved. |
Number of articles improved = 2000 | 10,000+ [[1]] | The target was attain and even exceeded. |
Learning
editProjects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
On the area that worked well I would say that participants did actually did contribute beyond expectation. The physical training provided a great opportunity for those who might not be favourable to virtual training to learn and this showed in their contributions.
- What did not work so well?
Though the campaign was a huge success. However, we discovered that some participants still were making errors during the campaign and we were able to get 35 active participants as against the target of 40.
- What would you do differently next time?
In the subsequent ones we will ensure that the trainings will be structured to suit the learning styles of participants and the team will do more to guide participants on how to do proper edits.
