Learning

edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?
  • The project for the first time introduced Wikimedia projects to Cross River and Akwa Ibom state
  • The partnership with Bisi Alimi Foundation proved vital as it provided enough safety, comfort and venue for the participants.
  • Due to the month of pride, participants were excited about the event and really thanks the Wikimdia Foundation.
  • What did not work so well?
  • Lot of participants couldn't create usernames as the IP was blocked and that delayed us for a bit.
  • We didn't budget for accommodation hence that had to be sourced by the partnering organization.
  • What would you do differently next time?
  • Create usernames before the event.
  • Plan better and ensure all is ready before the day
