1. What content will the contest focus on, and why is it important to your community?

The Wikimedia Community in Nigeria will focus on the creation of gubernatorial elections articles of all 36 States of Nigeria on the English Wikipedia. This content is very important to our community because only 1% of such articles exist on Wikipedia.

2. How will you let people know about the contest?

Information about the contest will be sent through Wikimedia WhatsApp, Facebook and Telegram groups in Nigeria and related social media platforms. Targeted ads will also be placed on Nigeria most popular internet forum Nairaland and Facebook pages to attract new editors who would join the contest.

3. How will you judge the contest and award prizes?

An unbiased and independent jury will be set up and their work is to judge all the articles submitted based on the rules of the contest. The editor with the highest points will be declared overall winner. Below is the scoring system that will be used to score participants and award eligible winners.
  • 2 points for every new article created on the English Wikipedia and submitted on the contest page.
  • 1 point for every reliable source used on the created article.

4. How will you deliver the prizes?

All the winners will be duly contacted and their prizes sent to their location.
