Goals
editDid you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? Yes, I achieved all my goals. I and the community are very pleased with how the project went.
Outcome
editPlease report on your original project targets. Please be sure to review and provide metrics required for Rapid Grants.
Target outcome | Achieved outcome | Explanation |
Number of events - 4 | 4 events | I planned for 4 events, all 4 held successfully |
Number of new editors - 4 | 7 new editors | Exceeded our target of 4 new editors |
Number of articles created or improved - 50 | 2 new articles and 96 improved (click here to view dashboard) | We exceeded our target. (I counted only articles directly related to the project scope, there were peripheral edits as well) |
Learning
editProjects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- I found this resource very very useful.
- Spacing events significantly by weeks gave room for adequate preparation and implementation of feedback
- Participants loved the Wikipedia shirts
- What did not work so well?
- Vendor arrangements definitely needs improvement
- Some of the intending participants could not participate because they had to leave town at some point during the course of the project life span
- Did not make plans for a nursing mother participant (Thankfully there was little room in the Miscellaneous funds)
- What would you do differently next time?
- Perhaps a combination of physical and online events
- Ask participants for any special requests to aid participation e.g Creche
