Samliverj/SPARQL and Wikidata Training at University of Lagos
I am a member of the Developers Student Club (DSC) in the University of Lagos and I participated virtually in the Wikidata and SPARQL training at Lagos State University. With the support of the organizing team of that event, I will be organizing similar event in my school. I have been showing a few of my mates some of the things I learnt during the event and I will want to introduce more to Wikidata editing and SPARQL.

2 series of training/editathons

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

I will inform them during our club's meeting and paste notice on our WhatsApp group. To gain more traction, I will paste notice on the departmental notice board on campus.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

I have informed the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria here

Participants are members of Developers Student Club (DSC) that are computer literate and have basic programming skills. They also have laptops and mobile devices.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

Since participants are members of DSC, It will be easier for me to engage them by asking technical wikidata question on the whatapp group that I will be creating, whoever gets the question will be awarded points and will be part of what will be used to give out the branded wikidata shirts. I will share progress with the participants of the WhatsApp group on who is leading in the editathon. I will also encourage them to ask question where the xeperienced editors who helped in facilitating the event will assist in providing answers.

7. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:
