Project Plan
editActivities
editTell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:
1. What content will the contest focus on, and why is it important to your community?
This kind of contest will be on monthly level, and only between of the students who are part of Wiki Club or Wiki section, we already established and going to establish in Macedonia.
2. How will you let people know about the contest?
Every student will be informed that in the end of every month, jury of GLAM Macedonia is going to judge their work and award the best ones. We already have a Facebook page, where we'll post news, we will answer the questions of the students, and we will publish the monthly results of the best students, etc.
3. How will you judge the contest and award prizes?
There will be three propositions we are going to hold on and give prizes for:
- Number of contributions of student in Wiki Club or Wiki section
- Number of new articles of student in Wiki Club or Wiki section
- Best article of student in Wiki Club or Wiki section
- One general award of the best student in Macedonia (chosen from all Wiki Clubs or Wiki sections)
4. For photo contests, what is the strategy to get images used on projects?
There will be no photo contest for the students.
5. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
GLAM Macedonia is starting Wiki Club in the Museum of Macedonian struggle from October on, as a part of their Children Room. We are invited in the Museum for this kind of collaboration. That was initial idea for us to start working on establishing collaboration with other institutions and with schools for the same goal - to establish Wiki Club or Wiki section. We already have agreement with schools and institutions we will work with in the course of the next three months (Museum in Bitola, Museum in Kumanovo, Karposh Municipality, Staro Nagoricane Municipality, Schools in Berovo, Tetovo, and two other schools in Skopje), and we hope that we will establish at least 3 new Wiki Clubs or Wiki sections after the lectures for Wikipedia and workshops (hands-on) with students will finish.
