Goals
editDid you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? All 3 goals were met:
- Team building — all participants agreed that the event was successful, personal acquaintances led to increasing of interaction between members of the user group online.
- Outreach and content gaps — participants photographed plenty of objects in west part of Vologda Oblast that haven't had any photos in Wikimedia projects. Also after event we've organized "month of Vologda Oblast" edit-a-thon during which our UG members created and improved articles about this region.
- Learning — all participants who wanted to, have attended drone lessons.
Outcome

Learning
editProjects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- Mostly, event was good.
- What did not work so well?
- The only disappointing thing was the weather, but neither we nor Wikimedia Foundation can do anything about it. Also our plans included visiting more museums than we could attend, because some of them were closed due to long New Year holidays and COVID-19.
- What would you do differently next time?
- I don't think we'll do something differently. Event went well, all cons were the lesser of the evils possible.
Finances
editGrant funds spent
editPlease describe how much grant money you spent for approved expenses, and tell us what you spent it on.
We've added "Spent Funds" list to original budget with explanation.
Remaining funds
editDo you have any remaining grant funds?
Remaining funds include 44,163.64 ₽. Since the eruption of conflict between Russia and Ukraine we have difficulties with money transferring between Russia and USA, so we prefer to hold this funds to organize a meetup.
Anything else
editAnything else you want to share about your project?
This event inspired us a lot. We literally fell in love with Vologda region so we did much more contributions to Wikimedia projects than we planned before including 8 new articles in Russian Wikipedia and 4 translations to English. Also now we have the new member of UG who attended the event as a guest. So we think that events like this are very useful for user groups and for Wikimedia Movement and hope that we can do many another events in the future.
