editTell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:
1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?
- A training and editathon on adding content related to human rights, environmental health and diverse communities impacted by environmental issues on Wikipedia.
2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.
- The project has been announced on the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria discussion pages.
3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.
- Participants would be informed via social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn). Participants would also be invited from Environmental NGO's to participate in the project.
4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?
- Yes!
The participants have laptops, tablets and smartphones which would be used during the edit-a-thons. Fast-speed internet that will be provided for the participants during the training session and editathons.
6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?
- Participants would be engaged with a Whatsapp group after the event, this would enable the organizers to provide continuous support to participants.
7. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:

8. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
- This project will train and engage environmental activists in Nigeria to contribute to content related to the campaign's theme "Right to a Healthy Environment" in the Nigeria context. The project will focus on improving local content on environmental health and communities impacted by environmental issues in Nigeria, Human rights and the Environment, Environmental degradation, Climate Change, Biodiversity loss and Pollution. The project will have participants joining physically in Lagos, Nigeria and with an opportunity for others to join virtually.

Resources
editWhat resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).
• Timmylegend Wikipedia Volunteer and Environmental Enthusiast - He previously led the Wikimedia Fan Club, University of Ilorin. He organised various campaigns such as 1Lib1Ref, Art+Feminism, Wiki Loves Africa, Nigeria Expedition, Explore Nigeria and Wikipedia pages wanting photos. He will be in charge of recruiting and onboarding new members during the project.
• ReoMartins Environmental Journalist and Photographer - A passionate environmentalist with a track record of environmental advocacy, he was the lead organizer of the Photo tour of urban green spaces in Lagos, Nigeria.
• Haylad Wikipedia Volunteer and Trainer - He previously led the Wikimedia Fan Club, University of Ilorin, organized multiple meetups and Wiki loves Africa photo walks/event at the University Club in Ilorin and Ado-Ekiti as well as Afrocine Nigeria Writing contest in 2020 and 2021 respectively. He will be facilitating the training session at the workshop for participants.

- Accomodation for facilitators = $60 X 2 days = $120
- Transport fare for facilitators (from outside Lagos) = $100

- Prizes = $150 (Top 5 contributors)
- Internet subscription (during and after events for evaluation, jury, and report writing) = $300
- Zoom Subscription = $50
