Goals

Not about the number of photos, but our goal was indeed to reach maximum users/participants. Still, in terms of numbers, we received 37361 photos of monuments from 1768 participants.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 in India

We have conducted photography exhibition with fund which was left behind.

3 photowalks in so far uncovered locations in India	4 photowalks conducted in 4 cities Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Mangaluru and Thrissur.	To note, all the mentioned cities are where there were less or very less Wikimedia activities except for Thrissur.

• What worked well?

• • The immediate funding assistance and then obviously the overall expectation from the contest.

• What did not work so well?

• • Reporting because of burnout caused to volunteers post the contest.

• What would you do differently next time?

• • Definitely create a timeline for reporting purpose understanding the importance and adhering to it.
  • Contest can become more innovative and so we are now in talk with other organisations to make sure we have increased unreached participants.
