Executive Director

Hours: full time (40 hours per week)

Reports to: Wikimedia Mexico board

Reports: SIx-monthly and annual

Purpose of the work: planning and execution of projects and activities

Main tasks

• Design, coordination and execution of projects and events
• Effectively execution of financial and human resources for planned activities
• Advisory to the board for decision making as well for the definition of activities
• Development of a Strategic Plan for the short and medium term of the organization
• Development and execution of a campaign to increase the number of WMMX volunteers
• Following of the process around granting
• Represent actively and logistically the chapter with all their stakeholders
• Write reports and evaluations and provide results to the board and chapter members.

Education Officer

Hours: part time (20 hours per week)

Reports to: Executive Director

Reports: Monthly

Purpose of the work: Planning and execution of the Education Program

Main tasks

• Design and implementation of the Wikipedia Education Program in Mexico:
  • Pedagogical proposals to work with teachers and students of different educational levels
  • Follow up the courses in educational institutions, as well as the editions of articles
  • Strategic alliances
• Coordination of activities (workshops, courses and editathons) with educational partners
• Evaluation and production of reports of the results including reports to Executive Director and Board

Accounting advisor

Professional that advice on accounting and make all the procedures around Mexican taxes.

Main tasks

• Monthly tax report to Mexican authorities.
• Accounting assistant
• Recollection of receipts and creation of a fiscal archive
• Calculation of taxes
• Contact with banks
• Help with finance planning

How long is this staff or contractor's planned engagement with your organization, and how many hours will they work over the course of this grant?

This should be a part-time position for 12 months (August 2019 - July 2020)

Use a percentage of that person's total hours to show how they will spend their time on different programs and activities.

70% administration and logistics of project, 20% procedures, 10% advisory.

Communication Consultant

Hours: part time (20 hours per week)

Report to: Executive director

Reports: Monthly

Purpose on the work: Strategic planning of the communication needs of the chapter

Main tasks

• Strategic planning of the communicational needs of the chapter:
  • Check the current status of social networks in the chapter
  • Design and edition of flyers and video
  • Categorize multimedia files on Wikimedia Commons
  • Update and creation of publications on the institutional blog
  • Attendance of Wikimedia Mexico events, take pictures, video and post on social networks
  • Community manager of the social media accounts
• Coordinates communication activities: management of social networks (content and publication), website and media
• Finding of media opportunities:
  • Alliances with recognized Mexican media
  • Communicate with the press to disseminate medical events, spread about Wikipedia
  • Creation of a "Wikipedia for journalists" project
• Writing of monthly measurement reports
