I created a page on Indonesian Wikipedia sharing my experiences in Wikimania to the Indonesian Wikipedia community.

Option 2: Learning Pattern: What is one useful learning pattern you can share with the Wikimedia movement? Add a link to a learning pattern - either a new pattern you created with insights from your participation, or an existing pattern to which you added your endorsement and some significant new "considerations" or “examples” from your experience. I attended the Learning Day in Day 2 where there are workshops on generating ideas and solutions. The technique of diverging and converging solution ideas I think is worth exploring, both in wiki-life and in real life.

Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement? Add a link to something new that was created as a result of your participation in this event (for example, you might link to a new tool that you and your co-participants worked on at the Hackathon, or to pages created in a workshop you participated in). To diversify my learning and desire to develop tool, I decided to participate in Hackathon on Day 1 and commit myself for Learning Day on day 2 of the pre-conference. On Hackathon - Day 1, me and Addis prioritized the ideas for WAM tool; and I started working on it. It turned out to be much more complicated than expected, but I finished one task on that day. I stopped working on it as there is a news on the next day that there are other person on ru.wiki that has developed a similar tool with similar features. We have asked the user to publish the codes so we can explore the usage of the tool and probably I can continue to help develop the user's tool (instead of competing), but the user is yet to publish the codes. On Learning Day - Day 2, I participated on the discussion that results in an IdeaLab idea: How to get volunteers to volunteer more On lunch of conference Day 1, I met Ladsgroup who informed me that ORES is now using ores.wikimedia.org domain instead of ores.wmflabs.org and told me to switch to the wikimedia domain immediately for Raun; I did that at that moment. I do not present at the Hackathon showcase as I felt that I do not have anything to present. And I forgot to watch the showcase since I walked back to my apartment that time and accidentally slept for a while.

Connections

• Presented shortly at Wikimania Asian Month session together with Addis (link on YouTube), in which I "replaced" Josh Lim that couldn't make it for Wikimania. As I observed, there are 15-20 people in the room; fewer than expected, but this may be due to the session timing being just right before the closing ceremony.
  • After the presentation, a person from WMDE approached us telling about the existence of a MediaWiki extension to track activity of new editors, and suggested that this extension might be useful for our case (Mw:Extension:Campaigns)
• Attended Wikimedia Asia Meetup which raises lots of issues but not really solve any issue. Probably we need more meetups to really solve the issues raised here.

In this Wikimania, I tried participating in the discussion and training sessions; though I only contribute minimally, it is interesting on how the discussion goes in this Wikimedia movement. Real-time collaborative note-taking on Etherpad was nice too.
