Outcome

edit
Option 1: Shared Experience: What is one way you shared something from your experience with your community (either locally or globally), after the event?

After I returned from Wikimania 2014, I resumed OzodWiki, a project I launched with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty's Uzbek Service early this year to contribute to the development of the Uzbek Wikipedia. As part of the project, we published an article about my experiences at the conference. The article was published in two scripts, namely Cyrillic and Latin.

Connections

edit

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty's Uzbek Service, known locally as Ozodlik, gets thousands of page views per day. Thus, the articles about my experiences at Wikimania 2014 have been read by a few thousand people.

During the conference, I met many people who can greatly help my future wiki-activities. Specifically, I met a few wikimedians who can help us add an Arabic script converter to our Wikipedia.

Anything else

edit

An archive of all the OzodWiki articles is available here. The articles generated much interest in Wikipedia in general and about the Uzbek Wikipedia in particular.
