Outcome

Option 1: Shared Experience: I'm going to present on 29 August 2014 to the 6th Annual Research Conference at w:University of Namibia, and on 3 September 2014 to a research group at w:Polytechnic of Namibia. I've also had local media coverage on 22 August in the National English newspaper. Unfortunately, none of these events are online.

Connections

My talk Original Research - the policy we all break on English Wikipedia started with some 30-odd people and ended with over 100. I'd love to believe that they all came because of me, but the truth might be that they wanted to be in time for the next speaker. Nevertheless, I got quite a few positive comments from attendees.

I met several people in person whom I have been, or want to be, working with. Except the WikiAfrica team which I am meeting quite frequently, these were User:Aprabhala, User:MartinPoulter, and User:Mssemantics, but I had several dozen other refreshing encounters.
