Outcome

edit

Option 1: Shared Experience: What is one way you shared something from your experience with your community (either locally or globally), after the event?
I've shared my experience with the community in our user group blog, just like in 2016 and now, in 2017 here.

Connections

edit

The OSM mapathon was a really good moment to make to interact with other mappers and some very experienced mappers in the event. Since we are planning a series of events related to OSM and its synergy with Wikidata, it was a really special moment during the event for me.

Anything else

edit

As part of my personal experience during the event, during the pre-conference I was able to attend the presentation of two WMF members, Asaf Bartov and Edward Galvez, who addressed a relevant theme not only to the Wikimedia universe on time but to our lives as everything: how to adopt practices so that in a conversation, especially in a debate or context in which goals / consensuses have to be established, things work in a cordial and productive way. This "facilitation conversation" is based on principles well understood within psychology and sociology, and when done right, can turn dysfunctional conversations or situations into healthy and constructive contexts. I recommend reading the presentation here.
