Outcome
edit- Option 1: Shared Experience: What is one way you shared something from your experience with your community (either locally or globally), after the event?
Every Wikimania is a different experience. This year, in Mexico, I met many people that I had the pleasure to know in previous events, but it was awesome to make new friends from other parts of the world and with different background inside the Wikimedia movement.
I always try to do my best to share with my community in Brazil all the learnings and experiences I lived in Wikimania, not only from the panels, but also from the networking, the meetups, the social events, the event organization etc.
I opted to write again a detailed report in Portuguese from all the panels I attended and from which I could draw out some learnings that could be useful to our community. I am also writing a post to be published soon about the learnings on Education at Wikimania for professors in Brazil (I will add the link here when it is posted).
Connections
editI met people from many countries and with different experiences inside the movement. I could mention some of the most interesting people I met this year (I am sorry for the others I didn’t mention for lapse or because I can’t remember the usernames): User:3BRBS, User:Atropine, User:B1mbo, User:CFCF, User:DerHexer, User:Dungodung, User:Galio, User:Jmh649, User:Kiril Simeonovski, User:Netha Hussain, User:Patricio.lorente, User:ProtoplasmaKid, User:Salvador alc, User:Sky Harbor, User:SPQRobin, User:Superzerocool, User:Varnent, User:Warko, User:Wotancito; the Affiliations Committee, the Language Engineering team (and their amazing Content Translation tool!), Iberocoop members, other WMF staff, and the kind volunteers.
