Financial sustainability and proposed growth
editThank you for this assessment.
In the "Financial sustainability and proposed growth" paragraph, I think that an error about currencies conversion, or transcription, was done. It seems you converted 650,317 EUR in US$550,921. But, by applying the conversion rate used throughout the proposal I find 650,317 EUR = US$895,337. "Table 3" of our proposal (here) seems to confirm this figure.
Could you confirm if I'm right or not ? If I'm not mistaken this does not change anything else in your analysis. And if I'm on the wrong track, feel free to correct me :)

- Thanks for checking this ShreCk. The amount US$550,921 is the amount of FDC funding received by WMFR in 2013-2014 Round 2 of the FDC process. At the time, the FDC recommended and allocation equivalent to US$525,000, which was EUR 400,155 in local currency using the exchange rate on 1 March 2013 (the proposal submission deadline, consistent with the process used to calculate grant amounts in local currency for other entities in this round). Using the exchange rate on 1 March 2014 (this is the date that we used this round for the financial analysis of all entities, since we need to use one exchange rate to convert amounts to US dollars for the purposes of financial analysis), 400,155 EUR is equivalent to US$550,921. This is why there is a slight difference in the two amounts. We also confirmed this baseline grant amount here after the new proposal was submitted: Grants_talk:APG/Proposals/2013-2014_round2/Wikimédia_France/Proposal_form#Questions_and_clarifications_about_the_financial_information_in_WMFR.E2.80.99s_proposal. Hopefully this is clear. Cheers, Winifred Olliff (FDC Support Team) talk 16:35, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
- Woops! Sorry for the longwinded explanation there, ShreCk. I was looking at the financial table and did not notice the error in the narrative section. Yes, that is indeed a copy-paste error and the amount should read US$895,337, consistent with the table presented. Thanks for catching that! We will correct it.
