Huh?

edit

I have no idea what you're planning to do with "psychological mechanisms". Do we only let women edit? What? Origamite (talk) 23:37, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Origamite. This proposal is totally incoherent. Is it a joke? Don't waste people's time. GKFX (talk) 14:09, 9 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I would appreciate you all reading the Friendly space expectations and speak to other users with the respect that they deserve. If you have questions about the proposal, approaching the user in a friendly and collaborative way will get a much better result. These comments look overly harsh and certainly don't encourage people who are struggling to write something to do it better. Sydney Poore/FloNight (talk) 03:58, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Looking through the edits of the user if appears that they are looking for help from people to copy edit their work. [1] The kind thing to do would be to offer to help get the words down in better English instead of chastising them. Sydney Poore/FloNight (talk) 04:10, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

+1 FloNight. I'm curious to better understand what the creator of this idea has in mind. Hopefully they haven't been scared away for good. Siko (WMF) (talk) 16:28, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Mission completed already

edit

Women already have the right to edit first. So have men, by the way. Or do you propose women should have the exclusive right to edit first? Male participants are kept form creating new articles? Franz Halac (talk) 09:47, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Empowering women to point out gender based systemic biases in articles

edit

What this idea says to me: Because women are a minority on Wikipedia their perspective of a subject may not be reflected in the current content. And when a women attempts to alter the content of established articles to remove systemic bias it often gets reverted. Women must defend their edits on the talk page against the regulars who edit the article and they get psychological worn down trying to explain systemic bias and how it affects content on Wikipedia and in this particular article. A policy and processes that validates that gender based systemic biases exist would have a positive psychological effect on women who are leave in frustration now. Name change to "Acknowledge women's expertise"

edit

After talking with Mehdi ghaed by email about the idea, we decided on a new name that better reflects the idea. We also came up new wording for the solutions. Sydney Poore/FloNight 20:56, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
