Russian Wiktionary

The problem of Russian Wiktionary that it has way to many empty (and thus completely useless) entries. Under "empty" I mean not entries with little information but entries without any information: for example, if a user will read about expansion of Russian Wiktionary, (s)he will not find what ru:wikt:expansion means even though the link will be blue. I don't really know how Russian Wiktionary can be a trustworthy source with dozens of thousands of such empty entries — NickK (talk) 18:18, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Judging from statistics, that's not an issue: active editors have increased massively after the mass bot creations. Probably, visitors understand that a wiki is a work in progress. --Nemo 09:10, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

It is (or was during recent years) usual for the admins there to undo edits without giving a reason, and to protect pages after that happens once or twice as "frequently vandalised". Interesting idea

I'm not entirely convinced of the goal of expanding Russian Wiktionary, but I really like the idea of looking into what makes communities like Multitran successful. Do you have a sense for the editor (as opposed to visitor) gender ratio at Multitran? Calliopejen1 (talk) 20:19, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
