The only big problem is that in order to write about some of these female persons, we'd need to have coverage in reliable sources. Unfortunately it's fairly common for women to receive less notice from these reliable sources unless they were extremely visible in the public eye. A lot of the problems with creating articles tends to center around sourcing, which is an issue that we can't really solve on Wikipedia ourselves. Last year I had a good conversation with a college professor that had his students create articles on female musicians, only to find that a lot of them had issues with finding enough sourcing to satisfy policy. I think that it's a good idea to try to create more female articles, but it would also be good if we could find a way to encourage the media to cover female topics as well.
