I moved the post by Charlene to here as I dont feel it adds any intrinsic value to the report. --Thuvack (talk) 16:32, 29 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, this was a good decision. Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 22:00, 31 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your report, and a few suggestions

edit

Thank you for this honest and timely report: we appreciate that you have shared some useful lessons with the community and that you have been transparent about how you spent (or did not spend) these funds.

It seems like the following statement might better fit as one of your answer to "What lessons were learned that may help others succeed in similar projects?": "Initially we wanted to use the Hector Pieterson museum without considering other options. The fact that meeting cancellations led to more available time, the organisers could visit this venue and notice that it would not be suitable for the prize-giving event. Should this venue be used, the evening would have been much less of a success than it could have been." Please consider moving it accordingly.

Your answers to the question "What impact did the project have on WMF mission goals of Increased Reach, Increased Quality, Increased Credibility, Increased and Diversified Participation?" should address a direct connection to our mission goals. For example, if the project may have a positive impact on the WLM project, we still need you to connect the WLM project to one of the larger mission goals of Increased Reach, Increased Quality, Increase Credibility, or Increased and Diversified Participation to give us an idea of this project's impact. (If the project did not have an impact on these larger mission goals, you may state that here in this section instead. Since the project was not fully realized, we understand that this may be the case.)

As always, feel free to let us know if the above suggestions are not clear!

Sorry for taking so long to respond to these comments, but time is not my friend lately. I made the changes as requested. Unfortunately there is then nothing else we can add to the second section. :( LouriePieterse 15:40, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the changes, Lourie. This report is accepted. Wolliff (talk) 22:36, 14 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Request for reallocation

edit

We are currently still evaluating your request for reallocation of unused funds since reallocation to the WLM proposal will be contingent on that proposal's status. Wolliff (talk) 00:18, 1 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Approved
