Grants talk:Project/Rapid/AfroCine Edit-a-thon Ndjamena
Comments from I JethroBT (WMF)
edit@Matarimi1 and Yasmine Djibril Ahmat: Hi, my name is Chris Schilling, a program officer support the Rapid Grants program. Thank you for submitting this rapid grant application on improving content related to Chadian cinema. Our team has reviewed it and would like to make a funding decision as soon as possible. To help us make that decision we have a few questions regarding your application:
- In the “Activities” section, please take a closer look at question 5. It asks how you intend to engage participants after the editathons are over. Please revise your application to include your plan for keeping participants engaged after the events.
- In the probox please add a full start date (day, month, and year) for the grant.
- Thank you for listing the specific users who will be organizing the event. Abakar B, Yasmine Djibril Ahmat and Matarimi1 do you have prior experience running editathons? If not, do you have support from a user who does?
- Participants will be asked to bring laptops and devices along to the workshop to use for the Edit-A-Thon. In past events, there are a lot of cases where participants will arrive without a laptop or device to edit. Do you have a plan for how to support these individuals' participation in the event?
We look forward to reading your responses and making a funding decision. Thank you for taking the time to prepare your proposal! I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 23:12, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
