Hello Cbrescia thank you for your patience as we processed your earlier report. I have started reviewing your proposal but I had a couple of follow up questions:

  • Can you clarify your t-shirt memorabilia budget? Are you planning to provide t-shirts to all participants? If so, we would like to recommend reducing the number of t-shirts to be used as prizes for 3 - 5 participants in your group.
  • I also see another budget item for video recording of the events. Can you explain why this can not be completed by a volunteer. You can have budget for renting equipment but we can't pay for volunteers to take recordings that will then be added to commons. Can you please explain what will be recorded and how it will be used?

Looking forward to your responses. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 00:28, 25 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello WJifar (WMF), thanks for attending the proposal and the questions.
* Yes, we were planning to provide approx 50 t-shirts to all participants as a way to promote the edition of wikimedia projects and the event in Peru. I am reducing the number of t-shirts to 5.
* Using videos to promote events and the importance of activities like the ones planned is a common practice by Vasos Comunicantes. All planned activities will be recorded and then edited to promote the formation of new editors and the edition of wikipedia in Spanish in the Ancash region. The equipment will be rented and the edition needs resources like time that are very difficult to find in Huaraz.
Please let us know if you have further questions. Best regards, --Cbrescia (talk) 23:34, 1 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Additional Comments based on Grantee's Response

Hello Cbrescia, thank you for responding to my questions. I still have two follow up questions.

  1. I added up your budget and it looks like it adds up to 1700 USD. But your total comes out to be 1520. Can you please adjust your total to reflect the sum of your budget line items?
  2. You said you reduced the t-shirts to 5 but it doesn't look like you changed the amount you were planning to spend on t-shirt. Can you please correct the budget for t-shirts?

Lastly, you don't need to deduct the $461 you have remaining from your previous grant from the total budget. We approve your total budget and when we send the money we send you budget minus the remaining amount. So in this proposal you will only need to propose the budget you need for this project. Hope this makes sense. If it's too confusing I can update your proposal for you after you adjust the numbers I mentioned in my #1 and #2 here. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 06:14, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
