Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Faith Mwanyolo/Wiki Loves Earth 2020 in Kenya
Hello FaithMwanyolo, thank you for submitting this Rapid Grant proposal. We are happy to see the community in Kenya joining the Wiki Loves Earth contest! We have reviewed your proposal and have the following follow up questions and comments:
- Could you please update the exact start date and end date in the probox in your application?
This has been done
- Are you organizing this project on the behalf of any Wikimedia Affiliate? No we are not
- Could you please confirm that no offline (in-person) meetings and events will be organized in terms of this grant? We would like to acknowledge that activities for individual photo-hunts and individual travel to parks are eligible for funding at this time.
I would like to confirm no offline meetings and events will be held or organized.
- In the proposal you mentioned that you would have local judges for jury work. Could you please add their Wikimedia usernames to the request page? Here you can find more information on how to find jury members and organize the selection process.
We are currently in the process of selecting the jury and will have this information for you briefly.
- You mention in the project budget section, “Internet data for individual photo upload, opening and closing ceremony in a 300 USD budget”. Could you specify how the individual requests for data will be implemented?
We can cover internet for individual photo upload Opening / Closing ceremonies: Fund the opening ceremony, but limit funding for closing ceremony to jury members and organizers, not all participants. We intend on having 3 apportionment's of internet data;
- 1 for the opening ceremony
- 2 for the upload session
- 3 for the closing ceremony.
The distributions are as follows:
- Opening ceremony- 100USD… 4.5$ per participant plus Faith & Lenny
- Upload session- 150USD… 7.5USD per participant
- Closing ceremony- 50USD … 5USD per judge and participant … 3 judges, 5 participants plus Faith & Lenny
Please let us know, once you make the required changes, so we can move forward with your grant request. Best regards, RSharma (WMF) (talk) 15:06, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, FaithMwanyolo 20:52, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- @FaithMwanyolo: Hello Faith, thanks for your responses above. Could you please update the start date of your grant to later in June-- in order for us to prepare a grant agreement, your start date needs to be set for sometime after we making a funding decision. Would it be possible to change this start date to 30 June 2020? Thanks, I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 16:33, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
