@WJifar (WMF): And where specifically it is possible to get funding from, then? When we look under Conference & Events grants, then that specifically says that "For grants under $2,000 USD, please see the Rapid Grants program". The distinction between non-fundable meetup and fundable events seems rather vague. And this event specifically targets non-wikipedians and goes under the first of two main goals stated under the Medium Term Plan. Kruusamägi (talk) 12:37, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

Hello Kruusamägi, this is one of the changes we implemented this year to the rapid grants program so I will work with Conference grants program officer to have a consistent message. I'm sorry that this is frustrating but we're looking at different solutions to manage the number of requests coming our way in the program. We will continue to evolve and work on our program so we will take your question into consideration as we think about what rapid grants needs to offer in the next fiscal year.
