Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Kaizenify/Black Climate Rights edit a thon
Comments from WMF
editHello Kaizenify, thank you for submitting this grant request! I have reviewed it and have one question regarding the grant type.
- I noted that you are applying for this grant as an individual. However, you, Olaniyan Olushola, and Mahveotm are all members of Wikimedia User Group Nigeria, and the activities described in this grant are intended for the Nigerian community. Is there a reason you are applying for this grant as an individual and not on behalf of the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria?

- Thank you so much DSaroyan (WMF); I put up the grant as an individual mainly because the project was initiated as a result of the viral media sensation of Vanessa Nakate which in thus allowed me to create a Wikipedia profile for her and other black activist on an individual level. And so I felt the need to do more by involving the larger community(which include Olaniyan Olushola and Marveotm since I can’t do it on my own) so it can aswell train others and also create and improve Wikipedia pages. And the proposed Wikipedia page to be created during the edit a thon are not just from Nigeria but also from different part of Africa. But ofcourse I can change it to Organization grant if it best fit the description. Thank once again and best regards. Kaizenify (talk) 07:23, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
