Hi MediaMOF, thanks for submitting this Rapid Grant request to run a series of photowalks in the Ondo and Ekiti States, Nigeria. I have a few questions and comments after reviewing your proposal:

• Do you and other team members have previous experience in participating in photowalks? What have you learned from your past experience that you’ll be doing differently this time?
• Do all team members have experience with Wikimedia Commons? Do you plan to run preliminary trainings before traveling for photowalks?
• The images that you and Eukoha have uploaded to Commons are not properly categorized. For this and other similar projects, please consider categorizing all photos so that they are easily searchable.
• Please also avoid uploading too many non encyclopedic images to Wikimedia Commons — I’m referring to your personal photos. It is fine to upload some of them to illustrate the grant report or your user/project pages, but please focus on educational images first. Please confirm that you will consider these two points in this project.
• Approximately, how many objects do you plan to cover with targeted 500 photos?
• Will the four team members travel to the same locations? If yes, how will you avoid taking duplicate photos?

Thank you so much DSaroyan (WMF) for the review and the questions. My answers below:

• Yes we have previous experiences as we are professional photographers and have engaged in about 2 Wikimedia related photowalks and over 20 public photowalks in Nigeria aswell. Basic thing I have learnt is to always create specific time for uploads as they might be hectic and also to always be with valid Photography iD when embarking on photowalks.
• All team members know about Wikimedia commons but some still not fully grounded about its operations . So we will conduct a preliminary training first for everyone and also make other necessary clarifications.
• Thanks; category is one area we want to focus on aswell so we will definitely take it up and put more category.
• Yes I confirm that I will mainly focus on educational images and also will further categorize better.
• we plan to cover about 300 distinct monuments and landmark objects within those specific locations.
• Yes we will all travel to the same location but scattered in different areas to take pictures. For instance if at a location, some go north while others go south, east and west so we don’t have too many duplicates and then converge back to move on.
