Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Noor/Recycling Awareness Event
Comments from DSaroyan (WMF)
editHi Noorjarrar, apologies for writing in English. Thank you for submitting your grant application. After reviewing your grant proposal, we have some questions to learn more about the project and planned activities.
- Do you think 5 hours is enough to train participants on Wikimedia projects but also run activities with the environmental expert? Could you please provide a short schedule for the project?
- Would you also provide a few examples of the articles you plan to edit?
- Have you discussed this proposal with your community? You are required to notify the relevant communities on wiki and other platforms in advance. Please notify them and add the links to question #2.
- I understand the need for having an environmental expert during the project. Could you please provide more information about this expert's roles and responsibilities?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks for your time, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 15:52, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

During the session, we’ll provide training on the basic editing skills that would allow participants to start editing and adding to the existing content related to the environment. After the workshop, at least 4 experienced editors from the Wikimedians of the Levant User group will follow up with the participants to evaluate their edits, and teach them more skills. The follow-up activities will be online.
30 Minutes | Introduction to Wikimedia projects, creating user accounts |
60 Minutes | Wikipedia and Content edit |
20 Minutes | Break |
180 Minutes | Recycling Activity with the expert |

Note: Upload on Wikimedia Commons is a post-event.
- Would you also provide a few examples of the articles you plan to edit?
