Hello OtuNwachinemere, congratulations on your first Wikimedia grant and thanks for submitting it! I'm glad to learn that you are planning to run a series of editathons to edit articles about Nigerian women politicians and activists. I have reviewed the grant application and have a few questions. Please review and respond to them all.

  • Do you have a prepared list of articles that you will be working on? How will you track the participants' contributions?
  • Will you be the main trainer? Do you have sufficient editing experience on en.wiki to train other participants?
  • What will be the location of the proposed events?
  • We now require all grantees to announce their projects and receive the Wikimedia community feedback in advance. Could you please announce this project and grant on the relevant community pages on the target wiki(s)? Community notification may be most appropriate on a village pump, talk page, or mailing list. Please paste a link into the proposal page to where the relevant communities have been notified of this proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 15:28, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much DSaroyan (WMF) for the kind words and the review. Here is the response to your questions.

  • Yes i have a list and i will be using outreach dashboard to track participants contributions.
  • No, i will not be the lead trainer. I have Chukydyk and other experienced wikimedians willing to assist.
  • The events will take place in one of the centres that complies with the directives of the Nigerian Federal Government task force on COVID-19.
  • Here is a link announcing the project on the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria talk page.
