editHello Richest Kid, and thanks for your proposal to conduct photowalks focused on educational institutions in Ghana. Apologies that our review is quite late, and so I understand that you may have needed to begin these activities already. Here are my questions:
- Thanks very much for your hard work in establishing relationships and approved partnerships with these universities!
- Would you be able to provide notification about this proposal to an appropriate community-facing page on-wiki for Ghana, such as on the talk page for Wikimedia Ghana User Group?
- Have you contacted the Wikimedia Foundation Education team about this project? They may be able to provide some support or guidance around working with the large number of universities you are planning to coordinate with, especially if you are planning to work with any of these institutions in the long term.
- We're not able to support internet costs over a three month period, but can support internet needs during any training sessions as well as the four-day period for uploading photos to Wikimedia Commons. Could you adjust your budget for this item accordingly?
- Please reduce the contingency budget for the event to 500 GHC-- these budgets should be not be too high unless without clear justification.
Please let me know if you have any needs for clarifications or question. I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 21:10, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
Answer
editHello I JethroBT (WMF), Thanks for your response.
- The kind of partnership my team and I worked on is not actually with the school authority because of the long process it involves,so we spoke to students groups and clubs on various campuses about the project and most of the student bodies accepted to engage in the project.
- However we have not yet informed the Wikimedia Foundation Education team, but we will surely do so when we are telling our story.
- We are ok to inform Wikimedia Ghana User Group and Open Foundation West Africa but we have a good team that can handle the project. If there is any support we need from these important user group we will let them know.
- The project is a pilot project and we are looking forward to grow it further depending on the story we are able to tell the school authorities in other to have a substantial partnership after the project.
- Basically with the internet aspect we didn't explain ourself well enough, It's to support the training and also having a spaced out photo uploads with the volunteers. In this case I have made some adjustments to it.
- I have reduce the contingency to GHC 500 as requested.Richest Kid (talk) 21:17, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Richest Kid: Thanks for these adjustments-- there will be a few other questions I need to follow-up with you about over e-mail later today. Thanks, I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 22:12, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- @I JethroBT (WMF): I have not received the email because I made a wrong input earlier, I have worked on it,this is the correct email address(Asijay03).
