Hello Ugwulebo, thanks for submitting this Rapid Fund request. I have reviewed it and I have some questions and comments:

• You mentioned that participants are newbies but in the impact section I can see that only 25 out of 35 participants will be new editors. Who will be the other 10 participants? Are they experienced editors?
• Given the project scope and the amount of travel budget, we will be supporting expenses only for two facilitators. Please reduce the travel and accommodation expenses accordingly.
• Since the training session will last two days, we will only fund a maximum of 2 days of accommodation for facilitators.
• Please keep the certificates for the participants but remove souvenirs, offering them only to top contributors.
• Because you offer food during the events, please remove the "Wiki Activation Cake" expenses from the budget. After making the changes, please update the total requested budget.
• Please share the Risk Assessment tool document, so that it is accessible to everyone through the link.
• I want to highlight that in the future, similar applications with excessive travel and accommodation budgets where the alignment between activities and requested budget is not clear, will be marked as not funded.

My Response

Thank you DSaroyan (WMF) for taking time to review my application. Find below my response to your queries/comment(s).

• The participants for this project are primarily newbies. However, we anticipate that we may have a few participants with prior Wikipedia editing experience, given that we had earlier organized virtual Wikipedia training for some persons in Rivers State.
• Please I need clarification on the second comment. Do you want us to organize the project with two facilitators and remove one of the three proposed organizers? from my previous experience, I believe having three trainers (experienced Wikimedians) on ground will make the task easier for the organizers because many of the participants usually require one-on-one attention during training because of their level of digital literacy skills. Hence the decision to use three trainers/experienced Wikimedians. Please, I appeal that you allow the three organizers to organize this project.
• I have adjusted the budget to reflect 2 days of accommodation for facilitators.
• I have adjusted the budget for souvenirs. The souvenirs will now be given to only the top contributors.
• I have removed the "Wiki Activation Cake" expenses from the budget
• The Risk Assessment tool document is now accessible to everyone.
