Grants talk:Project/Rapid/WMDZ/Wiki loves Monuments in Algeria 2018
Hello Great11 and bachounda thank you for submitting your request for WLM Algeria 2018. Your proposal looks great. However, I would like to make one change before moving forward with your grant:
- Because t-shirts are a costly item (it's currently a fourth of your budget) we ask that you don't give them to all participants but rather use them as another award for those who have uploaded the most photo or those who missed the awards by a close margin such as 4th, 5th and 6th place. Can you please edit your budget to reflect 3 - 5 t-shirts instead?
Please let me know your response on this question and we can move forward with the grant. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 20:07, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
- Hi WJifar ; Thank you for these remarks and analysis; one of the reasons is that we opted for another supplier, a little more expensive but better quality TChirts, and that we have removed the rental of a minibus for the visit of historical monuments with photo-taking. This has had an impact on the overall cost and has meant that the global cost of T-chirt gifts is close to a quarter of the budget.
- The Tchirt is our most common gift during the events, however we plan to diversify the kind of gifts during the next events of the WikiDZ.
- We agree with your orientation and we will give the t-chirts only for photos-walk participants that they have compleeted with succsess uploading their photos.
- off course wee agree to distribute for those who have uploaded the most photo or those who missed the awards by a close margin until 10th place. Bests regads --Mohammed Bachounda (talk) 13:58, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
Approval
editHello Mohammed Bachounda, thank you for this explanation and for updating the number of shirts. I noticed that the numbers didn't change for t-shirt prices so to move the process quickly I have updated the numbers on your behalf, the total and also the numbers in the probox. I am approving your proposal. Looking forward to seeing the WLM photos from Algeria this year! Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 15:11, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
