Grants talk:Project/Rapid/WikiDZ/Wiki Loves Africa 2019 in Algeria/Report

editHello, Great11 and bachounda; thank you for submitting this report and for your work on Wiki Loves Africa. You did great work!
As a reflection on one of the points you mentioned could have gone better, the social media campaign that happened during a difficult political time in Algeria, I want to add that social media campaigns, regardless of the context, aren't often successful; for other contests, I would encourage you to think of ways to do outreach without having to spend on social media ads.
Thank you for all your work for the Wiki movement, MMontes (WMF) (talk) 04:00, 22 August 2019 (UTC).
Hi, @MMontes (WMF): Thank you for your continued support, it gives us the power to continue as volunteers on the promotion of open knowledge. Before the GR, we had organized many competitions with only Diplomas distributions and the participants were very happy. With your support, we can give more and expand our activities. in particular (organization of workshops, downloading of photos, photos Walk, etc.),
Concerning social media, it helps us in our visibility where we are not. it is a complement of attraction in the Algerian communities. we will reflect with the WikiDZ group in a better way to gather images and other media in these contests.
Thanks to the team for your Support --Mohammed Bachounda (talk) 10:25, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
