editHi CaliBen, thanks for submitting this grant request to run the Wiki Africa Challenge in Arusha, Tanzania. I've reviewed your proposal and have some questions and requests:
- Could you please respond to question #7?
- Why do you want to offer food and also snacks to participants during the events?
- For each event you plan to spend 193 USD for local travel. Is the local travel so expensive in Arusha? What will 193 USD cover? Could you provide more details?
- How many and what kind of gifts do you want to offer?
Thank you, looking forward to your response. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 09:00, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hi DSaroyan (WMF), thanks for reviewing my proposal. Below are the responses to your questions.
- I have responded to question number 7
- The event starts from morning to evening therefore the participants get snacks in the morning and food for lunch in the afternoon.
- The local transport includes money (64.4331 USD) for the organizers to travel from one place to another to make all the arrangements before and after the event. After the event, the participants are given money (128.866 USD/25 ) for their local transport.
- Top three overall contributors will be awarded (First- US $64.4331, 2nd - US $42.9554, 3rd - 21.4777) and the top three female contributors will be awarded (each a gift worth US $12.8866) this is to motivate the participation of girls to participate more as they have a lesser motivation compared to the boys. As it is a bit difficult to get gift cards here, the winners will get to choose what gifts they want and they will be purchased.
