Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Wikimedians of Cameroon User Group/Wikidata Editathon 2018 (Buea)
Hello Eugene233 and Alangi Derick, thank you for this proposal and for providing opportunities for volunteer developers to engage with wikimedia projects. I wonder if the impact section could be tailored differently for your trainings? Instead of editors and articles should we have other measurements?
- What would success look like for you?
- IN 3 - 6 months what are you hoping will come from these trainings?
- Do you expect the developers to get involved in projects?
We're really excited to see this request in our queue and would love to proceed but wanted to focus the impact section a bit more before we proceed with approval. Please let us know if you have any question. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 21:51, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Request for Addition of funds
editHello WJifar (WMF), We wish to inform you that due to a few reasons, the expenses stipulated in the grant for the event might be insufficient. So we are requesting permission to add the grant amount to suit the current situation of the event.Eugene233 (talk) 11:36, 31 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hello WJifar (WMF), I've had another meeting with Eugene233 who is one of the organizers of the event and we've sent a follow-up email to Grants Admin and copied Rapid Grants. We are waiting on the next steps and looking forward for the approval of our request to modify the grant proposal before the funds are being processed. Thanks. --Alangi Derick (talk) 15:00, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hello MJue_(WMF), per your reply, we've made some enquires concerning venue, participants transportation (for few visiting participants/organizers from Douala & Yaounde) and also logistics and realized that the currently budget will be insufficient as per the location that we've agreed upon. Changes on the funds will mostly be in these 3 areas; Transportation, Venue and Snacks for participants.
- As you've requested, I'm also going to write this on the talk page of the grant proposal and looking forward to your reply! Some useful information;
- Day 1 = 27th Jan, 2018
- Day 2 = 04th Feb, 2018
- Day 3 = 17th Feb, 2018
- In addition, the funds will be updated from 605,000frs CFA to 1,000,000frs CFA. We hope to the funds early enough to secure the venue for the 3 days! --Alangi Derick (talk) 08:25, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
