editHi Jaqi-aru, and thanks for this thorough report on your activities with professors and students of the Public University of El Alto-Bolivia. Here are my comments on your reported outcomes:
- I'm glad to hear you made time to have additional coordination meetings beyond your initial goal during the project. Were these meetings mostly about event planning or were other matters discussed at them?
- Actually, all the meetings were related to the project. After finishing the project we were still coorinating about certificates for the participants and contributors. Moreover, during these month are still editing some friends from this university.
- Congratulations on getting so many articles started in the Aymara Wikipedia. I reviewed some of the articles, and was really impressed that the majority of them are illustrated with relevant images. Some appear to be very substantive as well, such as ay:Tenochtitlan and ay:Phichhitanka.
- Thanks for your good comments. Actually, we have a potential aymara editors. Some of the members of Jaqi Aru are becoming proffesors of the university, and they have (including, me Ruben.hilare)plans to take Wikipedia as strategy of teaching and learning process.
- Nice work on preparing the guide! It looks like a good resource for new contributors. Is this guide available as PDF, or are there plans to create one? I ask because the documents on Commons is are larger image files, and it looks difficult to print and share with a group of people.
- We printed them full color version in tri-fold brochure. We still have some copies for the next events related to Wikipedia in Bolivia and in the city. Yes, we had to have a PDF version, but the designer did not send us yet.
- Were any new images added to Wikimedia Commons and Aymarata Wikipedia articles by participants during the project?
- Yes, some images were uploaded to Wikimedia Commons through the accounts of the participants.
This report is officially approved, but when you are able, please respond to the above questions. Let me know if I can clarify any of my comments above. Thanks, I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 00:39, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Dear JethroBT, sorry for the delay of my responses (I did not realize your message in this discussion). And we are pleased as aymaras to have the opportunity to coorinate with the WMF and with all of you. Thanks again for the opportunity to make contents for our language aymara.
