Grants talk:Project/Wikifab/Translate compatible with Page Form
Dependency on developers
editI don't understand what you mean when you say that you will "publish" the extension and "inform" the developers of Translate and PageForm. Are you saying no patches will be needed in those extensions and that you'll make an entirely separate extension? New extensions ought to be on gerrit, see mw:Gerrit/New repositories.
- Hi, yes indeed, it will be an entirely separate extension that will published on Gerrit. --ClemFlip 07:06, 03 April 2017 (UTC)
Also, I suppose the text is still an early draft. It's almost completely lacking a clear definition of deliverables, subtasks and a roadmap. mw:Outreach programs/Lessons learned and mw:Outreach programs/Application template can provide useful suggestions on what to include in such a proposal. --Nemo 10:38, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
- We will provide more details about project management. --ClemFlip 07:06, 03 April 2017 (UTC)
- I forgot to link mw:MSMW, which provides some links to related efforts. --Nemo 13:07, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
Interesting project, outside scope?
editSeems to me that this is outside the scope, even if it is an interesting project. — Jeblad 14:02, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
Not eligible for the current round (2017/1) of Project Grants - outside scope
editDear ClemFlip,
Thank you for submitting this Project Grants proposal. Unfortunately, our eligibility guidelines restrict our funding to projects "aimed at improving one or more of Wikimedia's existing websites," and exclude projects "aimed at improving third-party applications." At this time, PageForms is not used on Wikiimedia Projects. Though, SemanticForms (the predecessor of PageForms) is being used only in https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/ for historical reasons, they are getting rid of it. Consequently, this proposal is not eligible. For that reason, I am changing your proposal status to 'ineligible.'
If you would like to submit a new proposal that falls within our guidelines, the next proposal deadline is September 26, 2017.
We have some application support information available in the following places:
