Dear Sidheeq,

Thank you for submitting this request. I really enjoyed hearing about how actively you are engaged in our projects. I am inspired by how many wikidays you've completed!!

I have some questions about your proposal. It sounds like you want to attend a conferenced focused on the Dmanisi Hominid Archaeological Site event in order to conduct research so you can create content for Wikivoyage. Is that correct?

Travel & Participation Support funds Wikimedians to actively represent Wikimedia at events around the world. Typically, applicants in this program must be planning to make a formal presentation at the event about Wikimedia projects. The idea is that other participants in the event will learn about how Wikimedia projects are relevant to the topic of the conference. We do not support travel for the purpose of research through this program.

If you believe that your participation in this event is aligned with TPS goals, then please update your request as follows:

• In the proposed participation section, please indicate how you intend to educate the conference participants about Wikimedia projects. Be specific: will you give a talk (and has your talk been accepted?), will you lead a training? what kind of follow-up will you do after the event?
• In the goal and expected impact section, please describe the specific outcomes you expect to come from your participation.

I wish to write a travelogue about Georgia in wikivoyage. and also many wiki friends there. I would be attend wiki meetups. already I created many pages about Georgia in Malayalam Wikipedia. I wish many more article in malayalam Wikipedia, upload more photos in Commons and write a travelogue report in wikivoyage.. Thanks.. Sidheeq (talk) 07:45, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

Request not funded

Dear Sidheeq,

Thank you for providing clarification about your intent for your proposed trip to Georgia. Unfortunately, the scope of your project is outside the intent of the TPS program, since it is not focused on building participation in the Wikimedia movement.

We do sometimes fund photowalks through our Rapid Grants program. However, as you will see at the link I shared, transportation costs are focused on "bus or train fare, reimbursement for gas for shared rides." We do not cover the costs of travel and accommodation to distance places. Furthermore, the impact generally needs to include the efforts of a group of volunteers, rather than a single individual.
