undocumented {{fullurl:tools:....}} option
Hi, I just noticed some one using {{fullurl:tools:~para/GeoCommons/earth.php}} giving //toolserver.org/~para/GeoCommons/earth.php. {{fullurl:tools:...}} This seem to be an undocumented option of {{fullurl:...}}. Can someone document this and possibly other similar options? Thanks --Jarekt 16:18, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- This is not an undocumented option and unrelated to "Magic words" in general.
{{fullurl:}}
can do many things. Aside from expanding "local" pages (such as "User:Krinkle" to //meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Krinkle), it can also expand interwiki links that are configured on the wiki you are on. For example here on most Wikimedia wikis, the following interwikis are available and can thus be used inside{{fullurl:}}
, but also inside[[ ]]
:- "en:" -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X
- "w:" -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X
- "tools:" -> //toolserver.org/X
- A complete list is at Interwiki map.
