India relicense task force

India Relicense Task Force (IRTF) is a project to more systematically work on content relicense. This is initiated by CIS-A2K.

Objectives

The objectives of this project are:

  • Prepare a national database/knowledgebase of free license content.
  • Provide a platform for Indian Wikimedians, and free-content enthusiasts to get together and share their knowledge, learning, expertise, skill with each other.
  • Bring more content under the free licenses in India, and conduct awareness initiatives related to free knowledge.
  • Create and work on relicense plan/and strategy with each other’s inputs.
  • Conduct training workshops (events), create training and other resource material for the participants.
  • Document success, challenges, and learning from our experience.


Activities

This section will make a list of activities conducted by the projects. Online/ remote activates will be preferred over in-person events as much as possible.
  • Around 29 November 2022 : Initial meeting to initiate for basic developments of the project.
  • Around 10 December 2022 : Online call for Indian Wikimedia community narrating the idea and inviting inputs.

Resources

This section will prepare a list of resources for participants and the readers. The resources should be reliable and useful for Indian sub continents contents. The resources may be any medium such as video document book recommendation etc. However, free content suggestions will be preferred. Inappropriate content may be removed.
