Intro to Wikidata for the Community of Shared Knowledge Asia Pacific

On the 12th year anniversary of Wikidata, Shared Knowledge Asia Pacific (SKAP) in cooperation with Wikimedia Deutschland will hold a two-day Wikidata Workshop Training to the SKAP community in the Philippines.

Alan Ang, Senior Partner Manager of Wikimedia Deutschland together with Camillo Pellizarri, a long time Wikidata volunteer will co-run the workshop to community members of SKAP who earlier gifted Wikidata of 10 year- Philippine government economic data specifically its four major financial data, assets, liabilities, expenditures and revenues.

SKAP is honored to be recipient of this training because the community decided on engaging and implementing more Wikidata and WikiGov Data projects in its 2025 Annual Plan.

SKAP has been working closely with government unit partners, gathering government data from government and reliable public domain sources and other relevant cross-references to validate and verify data before finally uploading it on Wikidata.

Inspired by its WikiGovernment Data project which yielded more than 272,000 edits, with 337,000 references and more than 6 million words added to Wikidata this year, SKAP Wikidata editors decided to explore more WikiGov data projects and learn more about Wikidata, the best practices from long-time editors and what's next for Wikidata.

If you are interested to join the the two-day workshop conducted by our mentors from the Wikimedia Deutschland, you may sign up for the training or join through the Zoom meeting provided below.
