Kiwix Project was created for the aim of providing internet access offline.As a reader it serves as a complementary service to education by helping to provide offline forms of alternative resources and materials that internet offers. This project aims to provide space especially for students to access education contents without the use of internet.
Most of African societies are facing internet connectivity problem and due to the following reasons
- Affordability: Internet is so expensive in most of the developing countries and therefore large population cannot afford to pay for internet.
- Accessiblity: Large percent of population in rural areas especially for developing countries cannot access internet so well.
To address this challenges Kiwix software was introduced for the aim of accessing content without the use of the internet.Kiwix is very helpful especially for students in accessing educational content without the use of internet. This project in Tanzania will be a solution in tackling internet access challenge by providing accessibility of content without the use of internet.
