Surveys are an important method for gathering information about your participants and their experiences. You can collect:

• Attributes like their username or their birth year
• Attitudes, like what motivates someone to edit Wikipedia
• Behaviors, like how many times someone edited Wikipedia in the last month

We have many tools that can help you build a survey. These include:

• The learning module Designing Effective Questions
• The Question Bank - A list of survey questions, organized by the goal of your survey and the goal of your program.
• Qualtrics is a great tool for large scale surveys.
