The Maithili Wikimedians organized the Maithili Wikipedia 9th Anniversary in Rajbiraj, Udayapur, Jhapa, Janakpur and Kathmandu.

The Rajbiraj event was organized by the MWUG team members, Pankaj Deo, Nilam Karn, Biplab Anand and Sanjog Dev. The participants are college students of Kshitiz Educational Foundation. The chief guest of the event was Shrawan Kumar Deo, Chair of Journalist Association Saptari.
