Some folks use Meetbot to structure and publish meetings on IRC, especially IRC office hours such as mw:Requests for comment discussions.

Note: Tim Landscheidt in his wikitech-l announcement cautioned:

Exported minutes are not backed up; that means that it is your responsibility after a meeting to upload them to a wiki, post them to a mailing list or save them elsewhere. As a corollary, there should never be any links to minutes or logs under https://tools.wmflabs.org/meetbot/.

(There are lots of such links :-( )

Formatting archived copies

edit

To preserve the archived copy onwiki, the best method is to copy from Meetbot's log.html version, and paste into a page in-between <poem>...</poem> tags. That way URLs will still be clickable links - whereas wrapping in <pre>...</pre> or <source>...</source> would not enable clickable links.

E.g.

16:03:20 <Alice> What was that link?
16:03:35 <Bob> http://example.org
