Meta:Requests for adminship/Jusjih

I registered a Meta username on 20 September 2005 when Wikisource had new language subdomains opening and I had to ask here to become the first bureaucrat on Chinese Wikisource after Wikisource community approval. As of today's check I have 750 Meta edits. I am a five-project bilingual-plus (zh-N, en-3, fr-1) administrator on (with today's edit counts in parenthesis):
- Chinese Wikipedia since 23 September 2004 (12883 edits)
- Multilingual Wikisource since 29 July 2005 (444 edits while most other edits have been moved to language subdomains)
- Chinese Wiktionary since 3 August 2005 (bureaucrat since 2 February 2007, 3162 edits)
- English Wikisource since 18 September 2005 (3908 edits)
- Chinese Wikisource since 20 September 2005 (bureaucrat since that day, 12931 edits)
- Wikimedia Commons since 18 April 2006 (bureaucrat since 24 September 2006, 5086 edits)
- English Wiktionary since 3 May 2006 (1411 edits)
- English Wikipedia since 26 October 2006 (13512 edits)
- Chinese Wikiquote since 5 July 2007 (549 edits)
- English Wikiquote since 10 August 2007 (708 edits)
As I have cleared many untagged images from my administered sites, I would like to apply for regular adminship here while I see so many unsourced images here, in addition to becoming a steward late last year. One of my important topics on Meta is about American non-acceptance of the rule of the shorter term. It can affect Wiki sites, especially Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikisource. For other images that may deserve deletion, I also discuss in WM:RFD.--Jusjih 00:47, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Support as per reasoning for Zirland: now he's a steward, he's more active here, even more so than before. Could use the tools. Majorly (talk) 01:50, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Support Stewards should automatically become meta admins... --FiLiP ¤ 01:54, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I disagree. Stewards do not have an inherent need for meta adminship, meta 'cratship, or meta local CUship, unlike CU access to look at the log, and should ask the community for permission. It almost always makes sense to grant it (there must be a counterexample but I can't think of it offhand) but they should nevertheless ask, and the community should gladly grant it. ++Lar: t/c 15:24, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: see also Meta_talk:Requests_for_adminship#Stewards_.26_sysop_rights_on_Meta where this is being discussed, more views would be goodness. ++Lar: t/c 15:27, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
