What I liked

...The content were fresh and very easy to learn and understand.

What I liked

Be bold! (Very helpful for a new editor) Link to the Teahouse. Looks useful.

What I didn't like

The videos and the text overlapped in some cases. Needn't be changed, however.

What was missing

I don't think I'll really quite know until I start editing.

What was unnecessary

--Terapede (talk) 00:19, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What I liked
It explained talk pages to me. I never really knew what those were.

...

What I didn't like
It was definitely a little boring. Maybe some more interactive stuff would be nice.

...

What was missing
I don't know enough about wikipedia to know if the tutorial missed something. Once I begin using it more, then I'll know if everything that needed to be covered was covered.

...

What was unnecessary
I thought everything was pretty much necessary.

What was unnecessary

Nothing.

What I liked

Content broken up into sections with clear headings, addition of videos to clarify and expand on topics.

What was missing

Emphasis on where to find this information in the future ('You can always view this information again at...'), potentially a shortlist of best basic how-to guides (I now have a tab explosion, but at least I have the information somewhere?)

--Magneticwhatever (talk) 18:18, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What was missing

What I didn't like

What I liked

…I liked that it was informative and well rounded. It was not too detailed in everything but provided other links if a user needed more information on a topic. It covered all the basics and was very helpful. I had no idea there was so much behind the scenes at Wikipedia!

What I didn't like

…The videos were not able to work for me. My computer kept telling me they had a virus or something but that may just be my computer.

What was missing

…I can not think of anything that was missing.

What I liked

It was well constructed. The videos were very helpful.

What I didn't like

A little long, but I can see it might be considered necessary.

What was missing

I can't think of anything.

What was unnecessary

Nothing was super unnecessary, but some of it was long. Regarding the pillars of Wikipedia -- while I can see why it's important, I wonder how many people read everything in its entirety (and I mean people that aren't editing for an assignment)

What I liked

Very easy to use!

What I didn't like

The videos didn't work so well.

What was missing

Not sure that anything was really missing, i just learned about Wikipedia!

What was unnecessary

I would guess it should be obvious not to have personal attacks against others, and that most of the edits are for the good of the site. This is pretty intuitive and those who are going to do person attacks ever if you say not to.

What I liked

...I like all the pages linked to me, like the Cheat sheet, the Wikimedia commons for images, the Stubs, Start, and Relevant Articles pages for finding pages to start with and the encouraging way they put it.

What I didn't like

...I think it was informative enough, though maybe the Watchlist page might have gone on a bit? Everything was fine to me.

What was missing

...Nothing I can think of.

What was unnecessary

...Might be the videos since I feel like the messing with the sandbox part might be all that's needed, but I see no issue with keeping the videos since I'm sure they help visually.

What I liked

In the writing style, there is a base level of assumed good and curiosity in the reader that came across quite effectively.

The fact that there is no special tutorial hand-holding or browser-session-based sandbox to play in that gets erased when you reload the page, but that everything in the tutorial points right back to doing things with my actual user account, and that I will have a record of later. It makes that "blank account feeling" much less intimidating, when the reader can easily edit their User Page and Sandbox as part of the tutorial.

What I didn't like

I was still left slightly confused about article grading criteria and the significance of quality status, despite the understanding that it's an important classification scheme I need to be aware of. I'm sure there's plenty of good explanations if I look into it, this is just my initial impression after finishing the training.

What was missing

Some of the tutorial videos were missing closed captions.

What was unnecessary

Nothing comes to mind, it all felt very relevant.
