Carta de Movimento/Ratificação/Votação/Critérios de Elegibilidade
Este é o critério de elegibilidade do eleitor para o voto para ratificar a «Carta do Movimento» da Wikimédia em junho-julho de 2024.
Voto individual
You may vote from any single registered account you own on a Wikimedia wiki. You may only vote once, regardless of how many accounts you own. To qualify, this one account must:
- not be site-wide blocked in more than one public project;
- and not be a bot;
- and have made at least 300 edits before May 26, 2024 across Wikimedia wikis;
- and have made at least 20 edits between May 26, 2022 and May 26, 2024
The AccountEligibility tool can be used to quickly verify basic editor voting eligibility.
Additionally, the following categories of voters have been determined, in case their contributions to the movement cannot be tracked from their online edit counts.
Programadores
Developers qualify to vote if they:
- are Wikimedia server administrators with shell access
- or have made at least one merged commit to any Wikimedia repos on Gerrit, between May 26, 2022 and May 26, 2024.
Critério adicional
- or have made at least one merged commit to any repo in nonwmf-extensions or nonwmf-skins, between May 26, 2022 and May 26, 2024.
- or have made at least one merged commit to any Wikimedia tool repo (for example magnustools) between May 26, 2022 and May 26, 2024.
- or maintainers/contributors of any tools, bots, gadgets, and Lua modules on Wikimedia wikis.
- or have substantially engaged in the design and/or review processes of technical development related to Wikimedia.
Tradutores
Translators qualify to vote if they have made at least 300 edits before May 26, 2024, and 20 edits between May 26, 2022 and May 26, 2024, on translatewiki.net.

Current Wikimedia Foundation staff and contractors qualify to vote if they have been employed by the Foundation as of May 26, 2024.
Funcionários e contratados dos afiliados do movimento da Wikimédia
- Current Wikimedia chapter, thematic organization or user group staff and contractors qualify to vote if they have been employed by their organization as of May 26, 2024.
- Members of formal bodies as defined in the bylaws of the current Wikimedia Chapters, thematic organizations or user groups qualify to vote if they have been serving in those functions as of May 26, 2024.

Current and former members of the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees and the Wikimedia Foundation Advisory Board qualify to vote.
Membros do comité do movimento da Wikimédia
- Current members of the Wikimedia movement committees qualify to vote if they have been serving in those functions as of May 26, 2024.
- For the purpose of this guideline, Wikimedia movement committees are defined as Communications Committee, Elections Committee, Movement Charter Drafting Committee, Language Committee, and Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee.
Organizadores da comunidade do movimento da Wikimédia
Community organizers in good standing, who do not qualify to vote under other categories, qualify to vote if they meet one of the following:
- have applied for, received and reported on at least one Wikimedia Foundation grant since May 26, 2024.
- were an organizer of at least one Wikimedia event, competition, or hackathon with on-wiki documentation and at least 10 attendees/visitors/participants between May 26, 2022 and May 26, 2024.
Nota
If you meet the main criteria, you will be able to vote immediately. Due to the technical limitations of SecurePoll, people who meet the additional criteria may not be able to directly vote, unless they meet any of the other criteria. If you think you meet the additional criteria, please email cecwikimedia.org with the reasoning at least four (4) days before the last date for voting i.e. on or before 5 July 2024. If you meet the criteria, we will add you to a manual list, to be able to vote.
Voto dos afiliados
- Only affiliates who are currently in compliance on the Wikimedia Affiliates Data Portal are eligible to vote. If an affiliate has published a current annual report that is not reflected on the Data Portal, they may submit a link to an online version of that report.
- Each eligible affiliate is responsible to select a single individual to vote on its behalf (the designated voter).
- Once the individual is selected, the affiliate will notify the Charter Election Commission of the individual’s details by sending an email to cecwikimedia.org as follows:
- Name of individual (this will not be public)
- Wikimedia user name of the individual (this is the account they will cast the vote under; this will be public)
- Email address of the individual (we will use this email address to send them the voting link and reminders)
- Affiliates are urged to provide this information as soon as possible, at the latest by 24 June 2024, to ensure that the designated voter receives the voting link in time for the vote.
- The affiliate will be responsible for instructing the designated voter on how to vote on its behalf.
- The affiliate may also instruct the designated voter to add a prepared comment of up to 1000 words in the comment field of the vote. Comments should be constructive and actionable.
- The affiliate may request that the designated voter provide it with a copy of the vote receipt generated after the vote has been accepted.
