Nigerian Wikimedians for Sustainable Development

Introduction

The Nigerian Wikimedians for Sustainable Development helps bring together climate activists, environmentalists, and Wikimedians engaged in matters of sustainable development across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria.

Objectives

•To increase the visibility of the Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria.

•Recruit Sustainable Development Advocates in Nigeria.

•Seek out and engage partners such as NGOs, and public and private groups who are working towards advocacy and education of people on the relevance of the SDGs

•Engage Climate Change Activists, environmentalists and SDGs advocates to generate and promote online content, and discussions on Sustainable Development Goals.

•Organise Meetups, Edith-a-thons and Workshops for Sustainable Development Goal members and enthusiasts in Nigeria.

•Upload Images in regard to Sustainable Development topics.

•Improve Wikipedia articles with Nigerian-related pictures that are uploaded to Commons.

•Make different Wikimedia Projects easy to work on by our members

•To help Editors with the tools, skills and experience required for Wikimedia Movement.
