PhilWiki Community/Reports/2016 Report

This page is the Report of PhilWiki Community for the year 2016. It includes the activities of the organization from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.

The Philippine Wikimedia Community User Group or PhilWiki Community was formed on 1 June 2015 to served as an organization of unaffiliated Wikipedians in the Philippines. The Affiliate Committee of Wikimedia Foundation provisionally approved the Community on 17 October 2015.

January

• January 16 - Rinconada Bikol Wikipedia Edit-a-thon 2 held in Iriga City, Camarines Sur.
• January 22 - One (1) participant at the Wikipedia Takes Rinconada joined the User Group.

February

• February 2 - One (1) member of WikiProject Philippines joined the User Group.
• February 4-12 - Wikipedia Takes Rinconada Photo Exhibit opened to public in Iriga City, Camarines Sur.
• February 11 - Tinagba Festival Photo Walk held in Iriga City, Camarines Sur.

March

• March 7 - One (1) contributor of Bikol Wikipedia joined the User Group.

April

• April 22-24 - Ringer participated at the Wikimedia Conference 2016 in Berlin, Germany.

May

• May 24 - Maffeth.opiana and Filipinayzd metup with Jojit_fb and Billie_bb in Mandaluyong City.

June

• June 1 - Wiki Tutorial held in Naga City, Camarines Sur in celebration of PhilWiki Community's 1st anniversary.

Members signed the Constitution and Bylaws of PhilWiki Community.

• June 23 - Wikipedia Asian Month page was created for Bikol Wikipedia.

July

• July 15 - One (1) user based in Quezon City joined the User Group.

August

• August 12 - Wikimedia User Group status of PhilWiki Community is renewed for a one-year term through January 17, 2017.

October

• October 31 - Ringer and Filipinayzd meet up with Joel Aldor (User:Joelaldor) in Naga City.

November

• November 1 - PhilWiki Community joins the community in the celebration of Wikipedia Asian Month.
