Outreach activities are being conducted by community members to reach more people both online and offline. These activities are done in collaboration with organizations and institutions which helps develop the capacity of the Community.

Maffeth Opiana currently serves as Chairman of Outreach Committee (2019-present. She was first involved in Wikimedia movement in 2015 as part of Wiki Takes Rinconada project team. She represented the user group at the 2018 ESEAP Wikimedia Conference held in Bali, Indonesia in 2018 and and 2022 ESEAP Wikimedia Conference held in Sydney, Australia. She was the project lead of Wiki Loves Earth in the Philippines in 2018, 2019 and 2020, which aims to increase the collection of free-licensed photographs of natural heritage in the country. She served as Board Member from 2018-2021.

Photowalks and Wiknics

In preparation for the Wiki Loves Earth 2021, the user group conducted nature photowalks and photoshoots at Isarog National Park in Tigaon, Camarines Sur on January 30, and in Siruma, Camarines Sur on April 9. Batuwanan Island and Siruma South Coastal Area (Vito-Cabugao-Sulpa) would be declared as Siruma Ecotourism Zone by the Philippine Congress later that year.

From May 22-23, five teachers from Cararayan National High School, Camarines Sur National High School, and San Juan National High School participated in a photowalk in Caramoan and Tigaon, Camarines Sur. On June 19, they also conducted a photowalk at Cabusao Critical Habitat in Cabusao, Camarines Sur after its Wiki Loves Art mural painting activity in Libmanan, Camarines Sur.

PhilWiki Community took a day off from the on Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos 2021, WLF 2021 Illustrate Wikipedia articles, and other online activities to get together for the Wiknic Naga 2 held at Naga Ecology Park on August 30, 2021.

From November 25-30, Pagkarahay Art Festival was held in Naga Ecology Park, It was sponsored by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Kintab Artist Group Inc., Isarog Garden Society Foundation Inc. in partnership with the city government of Naga, Metropolitan Naga Water District, and PhilWiki Community. On the part of PhilWiki Community, it conducted Wiki Loves Art Photo Hunt, discussions on Wikipedia as part of its 14th Bikol Wikipedia Day celebration, and Wiknic gathering. The 6-day art festival featured art exhibit, murals, art installations, painting competition, photo walk, Wiknic, traditional games, open forum, art talks and concert. This year's festival has a theme “Kapalibutan: Burabod nin buhay” (Environment: Source of life).

Wiki Loves Earth in the Philippines

Wiki Loves Earth is an international photography competition which aims to promote natural heritage sites around the world through Wikimedia projects (mainly Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons). The year 2018 was the first edition of Wiki Loves Earth in the Philippines. To promote the natural heritage sites of the Philippines, Filipino Wikimedians decided to organize a series of photo walks participated by writers and photographers.

Catanduanes

The Wiki Loves Earth Philippines Team paid a courtesy visit at the Office of the Governor on May 18 and promoted Wikipedia the next day at a writing workshop organized by Catanduanes State University (CSU) The Statean, SurTe writers organization and the provincial government. The team discussed Wikipedia particularly the Central Bikol edition and also invite the attendees to participate in Wiki Loves Earth Philippines. Promotional leaflets and stickers were handed out to the participants. On May 20, a photo walk with some of the workshop participants was conducted at Binurong Point.

The 2nd edition of Wiki Loves Earth in the Philippines was conducted to promote the natural heritage sites of the Philippines. Filipino Wikimedians organized a photo tour in Virac in Catanduanes, Burias Island in Masbate, and at Taal Volcano in Batangas province.

Spanish Wikipedia Editathon

As part of the community outreach activity of the team, we conducted an editing workshop during the Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day celebration in Naga City. The lecture focused on Wikimedia Commons and a tutorial on adding images to Wikipedia, specifically to the Spanish Wikipedia among other editions. The event was graced by the Honorary Consul of Spain in Bicol who appreciated the efforts by Wikimedians and the organizers in participating in the annual Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day celebration. An awareness on Wikipedia was raised as the editing activity was included in the promotion of the celebration, i.e. event's banners, posters, souvenir magazine and announcements. Wiki Loves Monuments in the Philippines

Wiki Loves Monuments is an international photography competition which aims to promote global heritage sites through Wikimedia projects (mainly Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons). The Philippines is once again holding a WLM competition after a 2-year hiatus. Wiki Loves Monuments in the Philippines aims to encourage photography and heritage conservation advocates to document as many heritage sites of the Philippines as possible.

The organizing team conducted a photo walk in Naga City covering four historical landmarks namely Naga Cathedral, Holy Rosary Minor Seminary, Quince Martires del Bicolandia and Jesse M. Robredo Museum.

Cavite

Photographers in Cavite led by Ira Villanueva conducted a photo walk within the province. They covered historical sites found in the area including Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Aguinaldo Monument in Trece Martires City, and Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite in Trece Martires, Cavite.

Camarines Sur

Architecture students of Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) in Naga City led by Froy Beraña, Maffeth Opiana and Ian Kenneth Orasa conducted a photo walk within Camarines Sur. The whole-day activity in Camarines Sur which had a theme LITRATO: Capturing The Historical Growth Through Synergy of Cultural Diversity covered the towns of Calabanga, Bombon, Magarao, Canaman, and Naga City.
